Hi Everyone ! My name is Lizz, I'm a freshmen in the college of Human Health and Development. For now, I plan on double majoring in CSD, which is Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Special Education. I hope to work as a speech pathologist in schools and work with children with learning disabilities. I am from Chalfont Pennsylvania, which is a small town about an hour outside of Philly.This year I am living in East Halls along with many other freshmen, and am rooming with my best friend from high school. I'm loving Penn State so far and can't wait for the rest of the year!
My favorite thing to do is play softball for my travel team back home that I've been playing with for 5 years and I love to volunteer in the community. I have two dogs, Shadow and Lucy, who are both lab mixes. One of my brothers is a junior at Temple this year and my other brother will be in fifth grade. A few other things about me is that I am obsessed with the show Pretty Little Liars and never miss an episode, and I also love to watch reruns of Seinfeld. I just got tickets to go with my dad to see Jerry Seinfeld's standup routine here at Penn State next month, and I absolutely cannot wait! Because softball is such a huge part of my life, my favorite pro sport by far is baseball. My two favorite teams ironically are the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets. And although they are rivals I love them both because I was born into a phillies town and my dad is from new york and grew up with the Mets (my mom is from yonkers, but no one likes the Yankees, so we ignore her tastes in baseball). Even though the Mets have had a few bad (very bad) years, I have confidence their year is coming, eventually. Until then I am happy to support them anyway, and hopefully cheer on my phillies to a world series. The other half of my life besides sports in music. Rap and Hip Hop is some of my favorite music and I love artists such as Chris Webby, Wiz Khalifa, Cam Meekins, Nas, Donnis, KiD CuDi and so much more. I also love alternative music and one of my favorite bands is Dashboard Confessional. I linked some of my favorite songs in case anyone is interested in these artists!
